Countless children have no family. They are orphans or have been cast out by their relatives. Many wealthier families raise such children. Poorer families who would like to do the same have no possibilities to do so.

Since February 2011, the foundation has been selecting responsible, usually single mothers in the Recife region who do not have the financial means to do so. If they want to be a surrogate mother to 1 - 3 children and can give them love, tenderness and also education, we step in. - The foundation provides them with children as described above and pays them a fixed monthly amount (board, lodging, wages) of R$ 500 (approx. CHF 100) per child. This gives the women an additional contribution to their household costs and the children a family connection with ‘nest warmth’. Hermann Gmeiner (founder of SOS Children's Villages) said: ‘The best thing for the development of a child is the structure of a family.

The education of the children is important to us. We finance a good public school for older, hard-working pupils. In 2024, 14 will benefit from this, in 2025 there will be 17.

We also invest in the vocational training of our protégés.
