RespekTiere Austria

Exposing abuses in the treatment of our so-called ‘farm animals’, informing the public, highlighting the links between careless consumption and animal suffering - that is the core of RespekTiere's animal welfare work. 

Anyone who has ever seen the suffering associated with the production of a fur coat, for example, will never again buy a fur coat or wear one with a clear conscience. 

We see education as our task - and a real opportunity to improve the lot of animals. We also support animal shelters with aid trips to southern and south-eastern Europe and carry out neutering projects there. The enormous suffering of animals today is not caused by the malice of a few, but by the unconsciousness of many. 

The organisation RespekTiere has been actively campaigning for animal welfare and animal rights since 1982. RespekTiere is currently based in Bergheim near Salzburg (Austria) and our organisation RespekTiere International e.V. is based in Bad Reichenhall (Germany).
